New York Vegan Restaurants

Planta Queen

Midtown & Brooklyn
15 W 27th St, New York, NY 10001

THE BEST restaurant to me, with an asian influence on the menu, the food is no brainer there. The whole menu is plant based, the vibe is elegant, welcoming and comfortable. You can do a sushi girls night with fancy cocktails or share dishes and small plates with a bunch of friends. The two Brooklyn locations also include American and Italian style of food.

Spicy Moon

West Village, Bowery & East Village

328 E 6th St, New York, NY 10003

You try it once, then you can’t stop going. Vegan Szechuan dishes : Spicy, flavorful and comforting, the perfect food to end a cold day in New York. For a one or two persons dinner I will suggest the East Village or Bowery locations and for a group party diner, the West Village restaurant.

Anixi

Chelsea

290 8th Ave, New York, NY 10001

Anixi is a Mediterranean restaurant ; All the menu is vegan and you will be surprised how they meatless items taste like real meat. The place is sophisticated, spacious with a Middle Eastern inspiration. Their mezze are to die and their speciality is the Turkish flatbread pizza, amazing.

Veselka

East Village

144 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003

Well known Ukrainian restaurant, Veselka is a familial, comforting and accessible place. You will have to wait a little to get a table, but it’s worth it. The menu is vegan friendly : I usually go for the pierogies or the vegetarian plate (they can make it vegan if you ask). This place is also famous from the serie Gossip Girl, where Selena and Blair use to catch up. I also love the neighbourhood… Great place.
